Mummies & more...

It's officially October and I couldn't be more ready and eager to go! This year I am reworking a mummy body that Nickki & Jean gave me last year and also working on the decorations for both outside and in. This will keep me busy for a while.....and that's a good thing. To be honest, after coming back from Peru and feeling a burst of blogging energy (as evidenced by nearly daily posts in that time frame) once again I am confounded by the lack of interest in any of the subjects posted.

For example, a lot of work went into the the three part series on spanking cartoons, and I really thought more people would chime in on what they agreed with and where they felt I was missing something. But instead.......crickets.

And to be honest, even before that only one poster has been commenting with any real depth or analysis. Even when I have been getting comments, they are usually just very short, often positive (which is nice to a degree) reactions. I suppose people don't find interaction with discussion, debate, and analysis to be "fun". Oh well.

So, this time, rather than let that bother me, I'm just going to go about indulging in my Halloween projects and having fun. If I have a free moment coupled more importantly with any real desire to post, I will. If not? I won't bother. It doesn't seem lately like it will matter much either way. Rosa and I have even had a few cute adventures of sorts, but while fun for us, I see no point is sharing them. As I've always said, my goal is interaction, not to be the source of free entertainment. Even now, I'm only posting because I'm wiped out from doing a ton of stuff outside, and then I'm heading out fishing with some friends.

So, I'm not as upset as I am disappointed, but like I said.......it's October....and that's more than enough to keep me happily busy.

  1. Hi KD while I read your 3 part series on spanking cartoons and found them interesting I never put much thought into cartoons either way. If I find one humorous I chuckle if not I just keep going. Only wish I had the time to write long thoughtful pieces like you do but I thank you for your insights.

    1. That's a fair reply. I guess I just over-analyze everything and think that everyone is like me in wanting to do the same and debate the results.

  2. I'm looking forward to the finished product!

I had a fall last week and injured my left arm, so I'm just uncomfortable, but I had to share this: I just heard my FIRST Christmas Carol of the season while on hold for an x-ray appointment, and all I can think is TOO SOON!

    1. Hope your arm gets better.

Naturally the finished product will be posted eventually.

  3. The cartoons were okay, but seen better. I usually put my own caption to them. Jack

    1. The cartoons presented were examples of what I think are weak cartoons, so I hope you've seen better ones. That was the point of the critique.

  4. I'm sure not getting comments can be a let down. Many times when I don't comment it's because I don't have anything to add either pro or con. But i do love to comment and hear your thoughts on my comments.

    1. I would have to ditto my above reply to Joe to you. Fair response/proof that my love of over-analysis is not universally shared.
