Curing the fever

No, not coronavirus. Cabin Fever!

This could be me......emerging from the confines of a once-cozy winter shelter, to shake off the doldrums of Cabin Fever and get down to some work.

I haven't been posting as much for the last few days because I have spent nearly every waking moment (now with an added hour of daylight!  Thanks, EDT!) in my yard. I have been cleaning up, replanting, constructing, and all sorts of 'get ready for Spring/Summer' projects. Rosa and I have also been on a few good hikes on the weekends.......ANYTHING to get out of the house and out into the air!

And as an aside, the current market situation, while I have been careful to avoid its full fury, is so massive that even I have taken some big financial hits despite my best maneuvering. As such, my 'kink mode' has gone into a kind of remission. I never feel like experiencing punishment when life is already beating me harder than any spanking. There's some other stuff too, but I won't get into every detail. Suffice it to say, when Dr. Malcolm said, "life finds a way", he should have added, "to kick your ass."

This schoolmarm (like life itself) look like she's no stranger to regularly beating some butt.

Anyway, just to lighten things up a bit, here are a few more 'cabin-oriented' images to titillate and amuse:

The weather has warmed up. Time to leave the cabin and air things out.

So get your ass out there!

You never know what might await it.

  1. Yeah, I mean ouch! My husband spanked me at the same time as we were both getting spanked by the stock market! But it'll roar back in time, or it's the zombie apocalypse. One or the other...

    1. I sometimes think I'd fare better in the zombie apocalypse. At least I could shoot or impale THOSE fuckers! ;-)

I've been dancing around the ups and downs, but the downs have been so unexpected and HUGE that even if you get partially caught in just one of them, you already have taken a heluva hit. It's like the difference between getting winged with a .22 versus a magnum...... the .22 will hurt but the magnum will take your arm off.

Also, you guys usually spank for fun, so I suppose it could be stress relief. It's the punishment on top of punishment aspect that I don't like. (Plus you're younger. You bounce back more when you're young and still have more elasticity in you. LOL)

    2. It's a real loss only if you sell. My 401k is battered on paper, and it's been unsettling looking at all the red downward facing arrows in my Yahoo Finance stock/mutual fund list, but none of it is real unless I panic and sell. Now, I did kind of screw up by buying selectively last week when the market apparently had some ways to go on its downward march.

    3. Agreed. If you miss the few days when it shoots up you'll be sorry. Those stocks last week I'm sure will do fine long term, Dan.

    4. Yeah, the stats get pretty interesting on the impact of those one or two days when the market jumps after a downturn

Lmao! If that ain't the truth that summed up this week, I dunno what is...

    1. You said it!

And welcome, BTW. I don't think I've seen you here before. We are a small but eclectic group.

  5. A cabin, secluded, so many carefree activities. Letting it all hang out is the best medicine. Jack
