King Donald

I wasn't going to post today, since it's nice out and I want to do stuff in the garden. Besides, I just posted yesterday, and so far only Dan has weighed in. As stated, my next post was going to be a humorous look at American intelligence.....or the stunning lack thereof. However, I can't seem to just let yesterday's news conference.....no, it wasn't a news conference. Hmmm, what was it? Not the more typical campaign rally disguised as Covid-19 virus update. Nope. I guess it was sort of a declaration of monarchy.

So, as is befitting a king, today I will salute the new monarch with a short cartoon montage appropriate for the occasion and this particular emperor himself. Enjoy.

  1. Wow, hard to pick a favorite among those! Probably the Kellyanne Interview spoof, though they're all pretty damn good.

    1. Yes, I believe that's my favorite too. I like the theme that a couple touch on where his nakedness doesn't matter.

    1. Hello, Erica, and welcome.

His tone was pretty threatening in terms of "do as I say.....because you're going to need me". I'm sure the folks living in the states to which he refers must love that their fate is inconsequential to this president.....only their governors' subservience matters.

    2. You know it's going to drive him fucking crazy when Newsom starts doling out the $1B in supplies California purchased and all these alliances of coastal governors start issuing their own directives on restarting the economy. Cuomo called out his hypocrisy today, pointing out that a week ago it was the governors' have all front line responsibility and the federal government was just there as a back up, and now a week later he's asserting complete authority. He desperately needs to start listening to some lawyers who actually understand constitutional law instead of listening to the likes of Pirro and Guliani.

    1. Hello archedone!

No, KDP is NOT Republican, nor is he Democrat. He is a small "l" Libertarian.

    2. Merry: Thank you for stepping in on my behalf. It does get frustrating to have explained my stance for about 5 years now and still have people think I'm a Democrat.

archedone: >sigh< (dips head disappointedly) Dude........you have been a regular here for years. I don't want to cast aspersions on your reading comprehension, but GEEZ. Have I not made my position on this crystal clear?

      A couple of things though:
      - You commented before on a post and when I explained my position further you just ignored it. So.....I'm wondering if you are sincere in going point-by-point or not?

-I can't answer your question on Republicans because I'm not sure if there are any left. McCain is dead. Romney is persona non grata. I'm 60 years old and used to have a pretty good idea of what being a Republican meant, but now? They 180-ed on so much that I think they should just call themselves "Trumplicans". And if they are indeed Trumplicans, then no....I don't like them.

-So, not having been a big fan of Democrats for a good while now, I suppose my head is not up my ass, but it does go pretty far into Rosa's at times. ;-)

    3. Archedone: Sorry, a correction. My first point to you on an unanswered comment is incorrect. It was someone else that did that, not you. Just skip that. The other two points stand.

    4. kd i deserved what you said the way i posted was wrong. Like you i try and vote the person not the party. I may sound like a trumper but I'm not. He needs a punch in the nose and his butt kicked and his ego is out of site. how his family can stand him is beyond me. but.....when i look at what the Dem's want to do he is the best choice which is not saying much. I hate Trump but right now what else is there.

    5. archedone: No problem. We're good. I don't mind being disagreed with or even called out on stuff......as long as it's accurate.

I have tried the more centrist and reasonable libertarians for a while.....but that has gotten frustrating as well.

  6. My comment: Trump just isn't funny these days. He's pathetic, not the pathetic you feel sorry for, the pathetic where you want to turn away, but like a trainwreck, you're drawn to see what happens next.

The things he says and does make me sick because I'm essentially powerless (and so is everyone else) and why Republicans would support a womanizing, cheating, (on his previous wives) bully and claim he's the "Christian choice" is beyond my understanding. Nearly everything he's done in his life is opposite of Christian values.

Yeah, so I'm going back to bed.

    1. I agree ....to a degree. But I'm also one of those people who feel humor is essential, even when.....or perhaps ESPECIALLY when it is most difficult to appreciate it.

I do agree on that 'sickening effect'. I think even if I agreed with more of his policies, it would still nauseate me to have to hear him talk about them.

      Enjoy your bed.

    2. Merry, you just hit on what so gets under my skin when some of my Bible thumping relatives show support for him that is so fierce it borders on idolatry. There is just no way to read anything Jesus taught about how a person should act, match it up against Trump's behavior, and be left with an argument for following this guy. So, instead, they start making up shit about how all that is in the past, he had some epiphany as he became President (but apparently after he had his fixer pay off porn stars) similar to Paul's conversion experience on the road to Damascus. Yet, even with that lie to help them rationalize their 180s, the guy displays un-Christian behavior every single day!

    3. EXACTLY! Dan, I just don't see it.

Compare him and Obama. Who is a better example?

Let's discuss outright lies. Let's look at behavior, being a good example, and upholding morals. I just don't see Trump being a good example. I don't see moral behavior, and he most certainly isn't a good example of anything that I can see. I couldn't hold him up to my children (5 boys FYI) and tell them to strive to be like him. Trump is an embarrassment, and nearly the whole world knows that.

    1. Welcome, Tommie. I don't believe I've heard from you before. As for this post? 'Public Nudity' is a definite fetish, as is CFNM. I've even covered them both here several times before and never gotten a complaint. This edition just adds a whole regal-fetish spin to it.

"Hatred"? If you're going to call what was done here "hatred", well I just don't know. Accusations of hatred coming from a Trump supporter make me want to cry............

......tears of laughter at the irony. LOL

'Von Trump' is clearly the worst president the U.S.A. has ever had, it's quite obvious he believes that he has dictatorial authority and that the country exists of serve him, rather than the other way around.

I'm an independent, albeit a progressive one, yet it's clear to me that the Republican Party has 'sold its soul' to gain and/or retain political power, including blatant, public voter suppression aimed at the poor, Hispanics, African-Americans and urbanites in general.

To me, the excuse of supposedly 'enlightened' supporters of 'Von Trump,' the bogus claim that "I don't really approve of him, but his opponent is worse," it simply has no credibility. Given that Satan isn't a natural-born U.S. citizen and can't serve as president, I can envision no worse candidate and president than that blustering, bullying buffoon... --C.K.
