Nuns

The "Spanking Nun"

As a former Catholic (now devout atheist) I am more than familiar with the image of the nun as sadistic disciplinarian. (Hell, I lived it.) But while the imagery is more than merely occasional (see more) I just don't get the appeal.  (And I liked American Horror Story-Asylum).

Sister Mary Flagella in action.

If someone can explain the appeal to me.................here is your chance! Just post a comment and tell me what I'm missing.

  1. Forbidden fruit perhaps? I don't get it either, but I know lots of people seem to enjoy it.

    1. I thought perhaps it could be the asexual detachment of using a virginal yet stern disciplinarian versus someone who might be using the punishment for their own gratification?

Sort of like a story with a mechanical spanking machine.....only one wearing a habit and cross?

  2. Perhaps it's because you're more of an F/m type? Most of the pics on the link seem to be F/f. I'm not Catholic but the idea of a stern nun (or devout Protestant church lady) spanking me as a boy is rather stimulating. Or a female teacher, for that matter. I think the "stern" quality enhances the fantasy (although the maternal quality added to it is even better)... ;-)

    1. I accidentally replied outside of the gray box. My reply to this is after CK's post.

Doing this on a phone sucks!

Oh, perhaps there's a belief that being soundly chastised by a representative of the Almighty such as a nun (in Christian theology considered a "bride of Christ") means that the strict corporal correction from her must be fully deserved and therefore willingly accepted.

While I'm not Catholic, decades ago (during my boyhood) there was a Kindergarten-8th grade Catholic school in my home town, close to my house in fact, which was taught primarily (if not entirely) by nuns. Pupils (or former pupils then in public high school) who attended it claimed that the teachers (nuns) there occasionally administered bare-bottom spankings to disruptive students, although they all seemingly claimed to have merely witnessed or even only heard about it happening to "someone else."

Still, I do tend to recollect those rumors upon coming across a nun these days, especially a youthful pretty one... --C.K.

    1. Maybe but that is another reason why it won't work for me.

  4. No that's not it. F/f usually works for me. No, if l was going to be completely candid it is probably because I witnessed an elderly nun who should have been retired, physically abuse a mentally handicapped student repeatedly when I was in the 1st grade. She died that summer and people used to joke that our class killed her. Maybe if thoughts could kill it might be true enough.

Well, obviously an experience like that (truly abusive behavior by a nun) is almost certain to have colored your reaction to the concept of nuns as disciplinarians.

In my situation, the nuns seemed friendly whenever I encountered one of them, and the bare-bottom spankings they were rumored to administer on occasion never were described as more than rather short smackings with an open palm, probably more embarrassing than truly hurtful to their recipients.

However, I only reflect back on those rumors if I happen to come across an attractive young nun--I don't in general have any fantasies about being spanked by nuns myself... --C.K.

    2. The situation I described was as complicated as it was sad.......plenty of blame to go around. But it probably did color my feelings. I don't think I ever got hit by any teacher being the goody-two-shoes I used to be.

  5. Yes, that could be. Unfortunately, sometimes "the church" is given too much authority to "correct" young people and it doesn't work out to well. There were some horrifying things that happened for decades in Ireland with orphanages and "workhouses" for young women "at risk" for delinquency. I believe it was C.S. Lewis who said something to the effect of "those who punish us for our own good will do so endlessly because they believe they have the blessing of God and it is their duty". Or something like that. As I mentioned, spanking nuns might be thought of as somewhat titillating, especially for boys, but actual physical abuse (including whipping, flogging and such) is best left to the BDSM "scene" and indulged in by mutual consent.

  6. I say thank Goodness for the Church! Without the Church, there would be much less sexual shame in our society, therefore much less kink! I am very ashamed at the thought of being bent over bare naked and well fucked in front of a witness! If that was the "punishment" from a nun, to "teach me" the error of my slutty ways, so much the kinkier!

    1. Well that is a very clever way to look at it. Amusing in its truth! One might argue that without guilt, HoHs would have a lot more difficulty managing their TiHs.

    2. Of course.....to be fair....... I learned more about guilt from my mother than I ever did from the church.
