Comment speed

..................for me, and some others also complaining on Blogger Help has been akin to this:

Are any of you experiencing this as well?

( I don't like to jump to upsetting conclusions...........ah who am I kidding? Of course I do........BUT it seems very suspicious to me that this came about not long after the elimination of 'net neutrality'. )

I would love to hear from others on this. Thanks.

  1. YUp, I think Lindy wrote a post about this and from the comments it would seem a lot of our blogland friends are having the same issues. I tried changing the settings to "pop up" instead of embedded, and it seemed to be easier to post comments on blogs that have this setting (Hermione suggested this i think) however I don't really like how the comments look with this setting, the replies don't immediately follow the original comments. While explains why some of the blog owners who have it set this way write a single reply to all the comments that have gone before, naming each addressee in turn. I've gone back to the original embedded setting, so my poor comment-ers will just have to wait that extra 15 seconds or so for the comment to post. Sigh. oh blogger.

    1. Thank you for telling me this. But here's the thing. Where are these other people on Blogger Help?!?!?!

      If you go there, you'd think only me and a couple of others are experiencing this when it is obviously much more widespread than that. And with no one else complaining, Blogger is going to be even LESS likely to address it seriously.

      Instead, I'm getting all of these bullshit suggestions from them that don't address the real issue..........which is very likely that Blogger has re-routed speed away from their commenting capabilities. I think EVERYONE experiencing this should post there and flood these fuckers with our complaints!

      "Once more unto the breach, dear friends, once more;
      Or close the wall up with our English dead!
      In peace there’s nothing so becomes a man,
      As modest stillness and humility;
      But when the blast of war blows in our ears,
      Then imitate the action of the tiger:
      Stiffen the sinews, conjure up the blood,
      Disguise fair nature with hard-favoured rage:
      Then lend the eye a terrible aspect;
      Let it pry through the portage of the head,
      Like the brass cannon; let the brow o’erwhelm it
      As fearfully as doth a galled rock
      O’erhang and jutty his confounded base,
      Swill’d with the wild and wasteful ocean.
      Now set the teeth and stretch the nostril wide;
      Hold hard the breath and bend up every spirit
      To his full height."

    1. Often or not, you'd notice it. It's a good 15 second lag from when you hit 'publish'to the comment registering.

    2. Oh... THAT! Yes, I've noticed that!

    3. I have this guy fro Blogger Help promising that they'll find a fix. We'll see.

      In the meantime I'm encouraging folks who don't like this new annoyance to go to Blogger Help (it's a forum of sorts) and look for this topic and post to it.
