Wonder Woman, spanking, & more...

Funny how swiftly and drastically moods can shift! Maybe in my case all it took was better weather and the elimination of some 'stressors'. And I think the  same holds true for those around me.

It was an eventful weekend, but to put everything in perspective it makes sense to do some fill-in. Since I don't post as often, things have gone on without mention. On March 1st I posted about an "Impending Punishment and the fact was that the DATs were so stressful for not only Ana , but us as well that the punishment described never took place. However, on the 13th of April, Ana took and passed the DATs......(yay, Ana!) to everyone's relief.

As a result, Ana and I talked about the past incident and agreed that NOW everyone's frame of mind would be much more suited to finally deal with it properly. She re-wrote the slip, lowering the number to 413 (in honor of 4/13, the day she passed) and made sure to specifically request that her Mom deal with the punishment as a serious offense and not some more playful penalty for something more minor.

Rosa was in the perfect mindset for this and followed her daughter's instructions to the letter! 413, "very hard with the wooden spoon". She did two installments so she could really spank hard, and both spankings were very difficult to take. I yelled out several times in earnest, but my Honey remained steadfast and undeterred. My bottom is tender as hell this morning! Ana is amused and pleased......as was Rosa in doing it. And as much as I appreciated the guilt-elimination and strength of my "bosses", I can't say the ordeal was enjoyable in any way. A true punishment!

In the middle of all this, we went over to Marta & Wally's to watch "Wonder Woman". I had heard great things about this movie, and not being a huge DC fan decided to give it an eager try. Verdict? It was........OK. Nothing special. I'm not sure what all the fuss was about. It was like the first Captain America movie in a lot of ways. I would love to see a return to "super hero movies" having a decent story.......like the first Tobey Maguire "Spiderman"......or a very good hero movie, with a nuanced and complicated plot: "The Watchmen". There is just too much emphasis on action. (There was this one move that they did: a sort of splayed kick-flip that reminded me of when a cuckatoo raises its crest feathers, that they did over and over and OVER ad nauseam! UGH! It was like....."OK, it took a while to get this move right, so we are going to use it throughout the movie" ) Still, the evening was fun anyway.

What the "Wonder Woman" movie could have used.

Rosa and I also had a great weekend where we just enjoyed our yard and did projects and relaxed in between. Rosa saw and photographed a large bird of prey circling above our yard and when she enlarged the image, she discovered......IT WAS A FREAKING BALD EAGLE! So cool....and pretty rare...... for our suburban NJ area! Rosa has been elated ever since!

We even got a little sexy later last evening and Rosa granted me an "O".....which was very satisfying and has left me with a lot of eagerness to do stuff today.

So, all-in-all........a good bunch of days!

  1. Glad to hear your stress level is down. I agree with you on Wonder Woman. It was fine. Seen better, seen worse.

    1. Thanks. There's still stuff going on, but a couple of the 'extras' have been eliminated. No one can expect a perfectly smooth existence, but sometimes I think I'm being metaphysically 'targeted' LOL.

      And yeah.....just typical story line.

  2. Sounds like a very hard punishment and probably very well accepted. I've had three like that in the past and each one was in installments of 3. I was sore for a week.

    1. It was! And yeah, right? A bald eagle? Who would have thought? I've seen them before flying over this reservoir I fish in occasionally....but that is a very rural area. To see one around here is ridiculously rare. But she has the photographic proof. It's not crystal clear because it was so high up, but clear enough to make a positive ID.

  4. I saw "Wonder Woman" in the theater with my (now ex) boyfriend. I don't have anything to compare it to, but I thought the photography was beautiful, and the story was inspirational. Girl power!

    1. The 'pro-woman' aspect is definitely cool, but hardly anything new for comic fans. Wonder Woman made her debut in 1941. The notion of a female superhero being refreshing or novel is about as accurate as having that feeling with regard to Black Panther and Black superheroes. They are out there and have been for a while. (maybe comic fans are more socially progressive than most?)

I'm glad you liked it though. I 'liked' it too.....I just didn't see the wow-factor that I had heard about from others.

  5. Just one frame from a comic book - and it captures the mood so well. OTK, witnesses, pleading..very nice indeed

    1. Thanks, Joe.

As for bald eagles in NJ? I've seen them over Round Valley
Reservoir in Lebanon but never expected to see one in suburbia......well at least flying at high altitude over suburbia. LOL

  7. Very exciting, all of it!

I was especially happy to hear about the eagle. I saw one last week driving home from work; it was amazing. Nearly drove myself off the side of the road looking at it!

    1. It is exciting.

A year ago, Rosa and had to take a back road detour in a very rural area and as we were driving down this little single lane side street, a hawk flew right into a rose trellis in the garden of a house we were passing just at that precise moment.

A few years earlier, Rosa saw a hawk land and kill, and try to drag off a flailing seagull in the asphalt lot of a busy McDonald's on a busy major highway......right in front of anyone who cared to watch.

She has a lot of freaky luck when it comes to witnessing strange bird-of-prey (and not the Klingon ones) incidents.

So has anyone seen the full-page comic panel in which Wonder Woman is being spanked with a hairbrush, over the lap of a very young girl with other young children watching, yet she's playfully winking about it?

So who would Wonder Woman spank in the comics? Wonder Girl, her younger "sister," would be the obvious choice. Back during World War II, I'd like to see her stripe Warrior Woman's derriere with the villainous Nazi's own whip, however Warrior Woman is a Marvel character.

I enjoyed the "Wonder Woman" movie in spite of a few historical inaccuracies, Gal Gadot portrays her quite effectively... --C.K.

    1. I've seen it. It seems to be a story not too different from Star Trek's "Miri" episode.

As for WW storylines? I am not qualified on that one.

As for Gal Gadot? Not horrible, but that name? She sounds like some experimental off-Broadway production of a Samuel Beckett play with an all-female cast.
