Saturday's table

Hey all! Not much time here, but I just finished everything and have about 20 minutes before my family arrives. In the next room sits this table......our traditional Thanksgiving "look"....with a mix of antique and semi-antique plates.

Meanwhile, Mr. Turkey is smelling pretty good from the kitchen! As are the mussels.

(I've already dipped into the dry, hard cider. LOL)

  1. Will you be having the traditional Thanksgiving arguments and inevitable, painful consequences? :)

    1. Well we all did argue about which Mike Flanagan horror series was the best, but otherwise everything was pretty cordial.

The only painful consequences so far has been waking up to the dishes that didn’t get done yesterday.😂

    2. Thanksgiving is not a "tradition" where we live . The truth about about "your" (missing) painful consequences ...I think I stole them from you ... :)

    3. Courandair: well I'm glad you got some attention then. We are doing fine here but too busy for too much lifestyle stuff.

  2. Ah! So the US comedy series, that I have seen, did not lie to me about the traditional Thanksgiving arguments :)

    1. Well, it can be true, but this argument was a bit heated at times, but not really like a true family argument. My kids can get very passionate about their views. (I'm not sure where they got that from? LOL)

  3. I love the flowers. Perfect with the blue! I mean, like it looks so unified, cohesive, matching! Both in colour as well as that it picks up the floral motif on the tablecloth beautifully!

    Also, mussels. Yums.

    1. Thank you, dear. This is probably my favorite setting. But we have been tweaking it for a few years now.

The mussels were gone in about 10 minutes!
